The petitions have been submitted and verified by the St. Clair County Clerk's Office. The petitions are for the recall of Trustee Linda Belesky, Treasurer Nancy Dudek and Clerk Linda Waddy. The Election date for voting for or against the recall is February 23, 2010. The Election will be held at the Riley Township Hall and paid for by the Riley Township taxpayer's.
The petitions were submitted by Ron Gauthier (original sponsor of the recall) and circulated by Ron Gauthier, Dave Rushing, Duane Hagle, Larry Behem, Daisy Schulz and Ron Rodzos. The entire recall attempt was spearheaded by Dave Rushing, the Riley Township Supervisor. Copies of the petitions will be attached to this site soon.
The wording on the petitions for all three Officials is the same. It reads as follows: "For the irresponsible use of Riley Township funds in regards to attorney fees incurred, resulting in reduced services for the fiscal year 2009/2010".
Belesky, Dudek and Waddy have all submitted their responses, that will appear on the ballot, to the County Clerk's Office. These will also be on this site soon.
The reason for this blog is to show support for the three Officials whose recall is being sought. To also bring to light the actual facts and the true reasons behind the recall attempt. Such as, the Supervisor wanting to control the Township Board by dictating how everyone should vote.
Check back soon for the true facts.
Please get informed and vote "NO" on these recalls.
