This site is to supply information and comments regarding the recall of Riley Township's three Board Members. The Township Clerk, Township Treasurer and a Township Trustee are all subject to recall on February 23, 2010. This Special Election will be at the Riley Twp. taxpayer's expense.
This recall attempt was spearheaded by Supervisor Rushing and the petitions were filed at the County by Ron Gauthier. This site is to show support for these three Officials. Vote "NO" on the recalls.
According to Michigan election law, if you recall these three officials the county election commission will appoint your board members until another special election can be held at our expense. Then, the county will have a say as to who runs for the board seats at the special election. IS THAT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT????, the county to pick your board members. READ THE LAW
You mean we are paying for these *?#*?!* elections? So, because Rushing and Gauthier and friends are out for thier own personal gains,the township is spending money on special elections. Isn't this what they are accusing the three board members on the ballot of. "Misuse of township funds". Really??? I don't think so, the real misuse are these elections. I will go and vote no on these recalls.
If any of these women are recalled, it will be an injustice. Each of them has worked persistently for you, the Riley residents. It was the three of them who voted to continue the lawsuit against Bisco’s in order to stop the adult bookstore from opening without the needed inspections performed and permits issued. It was with their persistence that the Riley Township ordinances were upheld by the courts and that the bookstore was contained to only one building consisting of no more than 20% of inventory. Hey Rushing, This is a NO BRAINER! IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE RIGHT CHOICE WAS MADE VOTING THESE WOMEN IN AND NOW KEEPING THEM THERE. VOTE NO FEB 23RD AND PASS THIS BLOG SITE AROUND TO EVEYONE. IT NEEDS TO BE KNOWN HOW OBVIOUSLY DUMB A COUPLE OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS ARE TO EVEN ATTEMPT THIS WASTEFUL RECALL THEY ARE SHOWING US THOUGH AREN'T THEY.
